The first party of our Berlin Kicks series indeed packed a mighty kick, so to say that it was huge is an understatement. But we want the second one to be even bigger, so we asked the most authentic people to bring the german electronic music scene to us. Namely, Rhode & Brown will join us from Munich to show us, what kind of party can the newest generation of german djs and producers throw. And we will have another duo, Elektrolyse, who are from Mainz but are studying in Pécs, to show us the music collection they brought from home.
In the past few years the whole electronic music sceen was flooded by extremely young and extremely talented artists and this is what happened in Germany too. Rhode & Brown started to dj and produce tracks together in 2010. Their tracks build upon the deep Berlin sounds, but they mix it up with the ‘90s chicago house and future disco to give them a funky groove, which will undoubtedly make their set really interesting. They had releases at Needwant, Pet Food, Union Jack and Toy Tonics too, just to name a few. This is a pretty impressive resume, and it gets really-really impressive if we add that the guys are only 21 years old.
Besides them, Electrolyse’s Ron Davy and Tuneln will mostly play deep house and tech house, which is not at all surprising at a Berlin Kicks party. Maybe this will be the night where we can get as close as possible in spirit to an underground german club – the djs and the sound quality will definitely match them. Fun fact: did you know, that the Amper’s owner heared a live Funktion One soundystem for the first time in Germany? We all know what happened next, he liked it so much that he ordered a set to the Czinderi street as soon as he had the chance, and we are really grateful about this.
So, on the 29th of March, the night is going to be about german electronic music in the Amper Klub. The entrance fee will be 600 HUF, as always, we hope to see you there!
