The weekends in the Amper Klub will revolve exclusively around electronic dance music. In this spirit will CASPA (UK) – one of the biggest names in dubstep – and the Space Inhalerz stand behind the decks on the 4th of October, to give the Funktion-One sound system a spin.
Caspa is one of the most emblematic figures of dubstep. He is known for assembling the first dubstep compilation disc, the FabricLive.37 alongside Rusko. Back for the First Time was his first track that drew the attention of the masses, breaking out from the underground dubstep scene, followed by his album, Everybody’s Talking, Nobody’s Listening, which also achieved major success.
He is also the head of several labels – the most emblematic of all being Dub Police – he has performed at the world’s biggest festivals, had a show on Rinse.FM, but still kept his residency in the legendary Fabric club in London. Caspa mixes melodies and deep sounds just in the right proportion, which is appealing to anyone, not just dubstep fans.
Besides his original tracks, he is known for being a great remixer – Caspa reworked tracks tracks of Katy B, the Swedish House Maffia, Deadmau5, Depeche Mode or 30 Seconds to Mars, just to name a few.
